Hidden Hand is like no other book on the CCP and its global operations to undermine the rule of law and all Western democracies. The book chronicles the sophistication of the PRC's overt and covert propaganda and intimidation operations of the Chinese diaspora and how many of your trusted politicians sold out Canada, the UK and the US to further the interest of the Beijing elite. Most bought into the notion that China would reform but the actions of the government during the Pandemic and now on Article 19 in Hong Kong clearly show the global ambitions are far less benign and represent an existential threat to the freedoms that were fought for during the last world war. Make no mistake this Orwellian authoritarian regime intends to dominate the world by undermining international institutions by taking over leadership within those organizations and then undermining the current rules and regulations based on democratic and consensus-driven rules-based order that were set to benefit all democracies but undermine Beijing's need for total control of its citizenry through a surveillance state that allows not one to escape scrutiny. The book is a warning for all western nations that their democracies are in peril and further acquiescence towards the CCP will only result in more pain for its citizens where Beijing determines whether or not you have the right to live or die, succeed or fail. If that is the world you believe in then by all means embrace the CCP and their leader's Xi, vision for "One world all under heaven." But from, reading the book it looks more like Hell to me. A must-read
