On April 7, 1868, Canada witnessed its first terrorist attack, a few months shy of its first birthday as an independent nation. 133 years later, 24 Canadians died in the 9/11 attacks, an event that changed the world. Phil Gurski, a retired counter-terrorism specialist with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS), has written two new books on these issues —The Fenians: Brotherhood of Fools and 9/11: The Unfinished Battle.
