CBC, Free Speech and Chinese Bigots
Last Wednesday I called up Epoch Publisher Cindy Gu after reading the CBC hit piece on their eight-page insert. I explained how I was appalled at the lack of journalistic integrity and outright lies and 1/2 truths throughout their article. The newspaper had attempted to bring readers an inside look on the CCP virus and ensuing cover-up of the pandemic by the CCP and how they had ultimately coopted the World Health Organization into publishing their narrative. What supposedly caught a postal worker and recipient’s eye was a column that discussed China’s stated ambitions surrounding asymmetrical warfare and that Bio-Weapons research is taking place at the Wuhan P4 lab and given that the PLA ultimately has accountability it is not a far fetched theory. What the reporters said however is that Epoch was creating fear by stating the virus was a bioweapon. Nowhere is this ever expressed or even intimated. I reached out and quickly mobilized a few US and Canadian academics to speak out but many had already come to the defence of Epoch and their publisher, Cindy Gu.
Over the course of a few days, numerous experts and China watchers came to the defence of Epoch Times. US military scholar and Chinese expert Anders Corr wrote and a letter to the CBC Ombudsman (He is based in New York) to call out the egregious and biased article. Later, Chris Chappell, the host of China Uncensored had Anders on for a forty-minute segment on which I highly recommend to all friends interested in China and understanding the CCP regime from the inside out. Optimum hopes to publish a number of books with Corr soon on the international order, China and the future of democracy.

As many know, I am about to release Hidden Hand, Exposing how the CCP is reshaping the World. It is co-authored by two renowned Chinese experts and academics. I asked well known Brock University professor Charles Burton to write a forward for the book which I received today. It is exceptional in framing the question for Canadians. Ostensibly is it already too late for us to change course?
For publishing this book, I, too, expect to be called a racist by the CCP and their propaganda operatives here in Canada. But I will be comforted by my Chinese friends and colleagues that understand the depravity of this Marxist/Leninist authoritarian regime that seeks world domination through the virtues of those socialist ideals. But that is a false narrative built on a lie to deceive hard-working Chinese and to keep them in line.
Your Liberal head of state is so badly compromised on China as he clings to Bethune syndromes and the illusion that the Mao/Xi form of socialism is somehow virtuous in its embrace of an ancient Chinese Confucius ideal state in which the harmony of existence within the collective, speaks to faith and humanity. Tianxia. All under Heaven unified as one nation of all peoples. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?
Of course, this would be a new world order with significant Chinese characteristics including the earlier reference to the Marxist/Leninist state where only the truly rich are at the top of the Heap (politburo)
Oh well, just another lofty goal for world domination by those friendly people from the CCP who disappear millions, have mass internment of 1 to 2 million Uyghurs and perform live organ harvesting from trouble makers of Falun Gong practitioners. But let’s not let a few human rights violations get in the way of Canadian corporate greed and the illusion that the party lifted 300 Million ethnic Chinese out of poverty as a justification for all else.
